She successfully kept her relationship a secret from media's prying eyes and now is burning the dance floor with her boyfriend Omar Farooque on Nach Baliye 6 (Frames Production) on Star Plus.
And looks like the sexy actress has got the hang of Bollywood and will seen recreating Urmila Matondkar’s famous Rangeela moves to create a steamier chemistry with her real life hero – Omar on the Nach stage.
Recently the sexy couple were seen rehearsing some acro-yoga moves on the beach.

Says Bruna “We are working very hard week after week on our acts and this time we decided to do something different to get the feel of acro yoga. Therefore we chose to perform it early morning at the beach amidst the calmness. It was fun performing and trying some of these tough moves, Omar performed like a true professional and with some help from our choreographers on the correct postures we managed to do this really well.”

Omar also goes on to add, “Bruna is attempting acro yoga after a long time, it was pretty good and you can see the result. It’s already so hot in Mumbai and to add to that Bruna’s sweltering avatar adds to the heat (winks) and in between breaks we’ve managed to get into the shower or jumped into the pool.”

Bruna Abdullah who’s known for her steamy scenes in adult comedy Grand Masti, is winning appreciation for her chemistry with boyfriend Omar Farooque in the celebrity couple dance reality show Nach Baliye 6. She says it’s not fabricated. ”For us, it (chemistry) is very natural. We don’t have to act because we have been together, so it is not really difficult to portray that (sensuous) chemistry,” Bruna told reporters on the set of the show.

“But Omar is very shy, so we are working on it,” she added. Nach Baliye 6, which went on air Nov 9 on Star Plus with a tagline Hadd Se Badhega Romance, is being judged by actor Shilpa Shetty, director Sajid Khan and choreographer Terence Lewis.

Other contesting jodis on the show include, Raqesh Vashisth-Riddhi Dogra, Rithvik Dhanjani-Asha Negi, comedians Kiku Sharda and Raju Srivastav with their respective wives, Mastarchef Season 2 winner Ripudaman Handa and handicapped break dancer Vinod Thakur. When asked, is it okay to do such bold acts on TV, she said, “After Grand Masti, nothing is bold.”

It was a starry affair on Nach Baliye 6 (Star Plus) when the top celebrities of TV and Bollywood were under one roof. Saif Ali Khan came to the show for the promotion of Bullett Raja and his baliye Kareena Kapoor Khan came on the show with co-star Imran Khan for the promotion of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. The stars were a treat to watch and all of them dance their hearts out setting the mood for the contestants who were nervous about the eliminations.

Kareena and Imran will be seen in the coming Saturday's episode. With a grand entry on the popular track tooh, the actors had everyone grooving to the song. While Imran who was in a playful mood learnt some lavani step from chulbuli Asha, Dance-divas, Kareena and Shilpa couldn’t hold themselves back and set the stage on fire. The high point of the evening was when Kiku aka Kikina tried to woo Imran with her dance.
Saif who was part of movie integration after a long time was a sport during the shoot. He played guitar with Rithvik on his request and also taught the contestants steps from his movie. The Bullett Raja hero also took Kiku who was dressed up as Kikina on hath gari spin on the show. Since Saif and Shilpa were under the same roof it was impossible to let them go without a dance. The actors shook-a-leg on their popular track haathon mein aa gaya jo kal rumal aapka nearly after 19 years of the film’s release leaving everyone amazed.

Star Plus’ big ticket dance reality show started with a bang last weekend. This was the much awaited series for the audiences as they love it to the core. Popular couples from the entertainment industry are chosen to be a part of it. This year the channel chose hugely famous actors and comedians to participate with their spouses in the war of NACH.

The first episode kicked off with small act of Shilpa Shetty who was looking thinner (she herself said it twice or thrice in the show) than the previous season and glamorous as ever. Then came the surprise package Terrence Lewis who has transformed into a macho man! With his amazing six packs and raw looks he stole the show completely. Terrence gave a ‘hawa tight’ performance himself leaving the audiences spell bound. Sajid was his usual self, full of wit and humor.



The only thing which bothers me is Karan Wahi and Gautam Rode’s hosting skills. I think instead of having two male hosts it should have been anchored by a celebrity couple because that would have gelled with the concept of the show. But anyways, this time their anchoring was better than the last season which was full of PJ’s. In the first two episodes they at least managed to make us laugh. But it would be nice if they don’t overdo their gigs and focus on simply anchoring instead of arranging ‘Gautam ka Swayamvar.’
Coming to the back bone of this show, our mighty contestants. Hmmm…so the most famous Jodi of Indian Television –Debina and Gurmeet begun the show with their energy packed performance on ‘Dhating Nach’. Gurmeet as we all know is a master of dance moves, he has previously won Jhalak. But his wife Debina was also too good. Both of them danced in synchronization. Debina gave very good expressions. It was definitely one of the best start up acts. Sajid even went up to saying that ‘meet the winners of Nach Baliye 6’. Flattering isn’t it?

Then the episode progressed with dance performances from other couples. Raju and his wife Shikha were unexpectedly good, though their dancing was not in comparison to few Jodis which excel in it yet Raju managed to make it comical. He definitely raised the bar of entertainment in the show by his gigs with Bruna and others. He was hilarious!! Likewise ‘Palak’ aka Kiku and his wife Priyanka Sharda gave a ‘super se kahin upar’ performance. We all know Kiku’s ‘wave’ dance but on Nach floor he was far excellent. They deserved standing ovation from the judges and got one too.

Riddhi and Raqesh were the last couple to dance and they left no stone unturned to sizzle. Other couples like Lata and Sanjiv also tried to do a hot number. They decently carried the performance on their shoulders.
Bruna and Omar also proved that they are no less when it comes to ‘hot’ chemistry. Rithwik and Asha were expected to do a full on energy packed performance and made it clear that they are damn serious about winning the Nach trophy. Vinod and Raksha gave a heart wrenching performance. This couple deserves a SALUTE!! They looked very cute and danced like professionals. Vinod doesn’t need sympathy, he is here in the competition to reach the finale by his hard work.

Two famous vamps from TV also shook a leg with their respective husbands. Kanika and Ankur- Amrapali and Yash. Though these two ladies are out standing in their expressions but little weak in dancing. I am sure they will improve in the future.  Master Chef Winner Ripudaman Handa and his girlfriend Shivangi received good comments from the judges, let’s see how their journey unfolds in the coming weeks.
So, overall I would give 7 /10 marks to Nach Baliye 6. If the makers want more TRP for the show, they would have to certainly raise the dancing standards as the audiences have seen spell bounding dances in the last season of the rival show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. But it is a worthy show to watch with the entire family on weekends.

The much popular celebrity dance reality show Nach Baliye is back... this time the sixth season will see 11 new jodis and with the theme of romance and passion. 

The first episode saw dance performances by the anchors - Gautam Rode & Karan Wahi along with the two judges - Shilpa Shetty & Terence Lewis while the third judge Sajid Khan preferred a comic entry.

The 11 couples made their entries with song and dance numbers which were spread over two days, on Saturday & Sunday. 

The first act of the actor duo Gurmeet Choudhary & Debina Bonnerjee Choudhary was a truly a Bollywood number and they impressed the judges who almost declared them the winner on the spot. This was followed by actors Asha Negi & Rithvik Dhanjani in a romantic number with Asha jokingly complained about Rithvik's high energy levels, the much entertaining dance number was by Raju Shrivastav with his homemaker wife Shikha as they performed the Lungi dance. Last year's contestant Neelu Vaghela came in to introduce her on screen bahu Kanica Maheshwari who danced on a disco number with her businessman husband Ankur. 

Introduced by judge Sajid himself were the couple Vinod and Raksha, a couple who's love story will inspire many when they see them performing. Despite being born without legs, Vinod has been a dancer and is now supported totally by his wife Raksha. Their flawless performance was moving and almost got everyone in tears. 

The vamp on screen Amrapalli Gupta was seen with her actor husband Yash who danced on the beautiful number Main rang sharbaton ka...'. The comic actor Kiku Sharda supported by his wife Priyanka gave a high energy performance which 

Brazilain actress Bruna Abdalah with her partner Omar danced their way into the judge's heart on the fast number 'Subah hone na de' while the Masterchef judges Vikas Khanna and Chef Kunal Kapur introduced the next contestant which was the winner of the Masterchef series Ripu Daman Handa and his wife Shivangi who did a stunt based dance number and was appaluaded by all. 

One of Indian Television's much loved actress Hina Khan introduced the next couple - Sanjeev Seth & Lata Sabharwal Seth who play her on screen parents in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The much in love couple who are parents to a new born baby danced on a romantic number and had an unusual entry dancing in a water fountain. 

The last entry was on the sizzling couple RaQesh Vashisth & Riddhi Dogra Vashisth who performed on an out and out sizzling romantic number. 

On both the days we saw quite a few comic acts too in between what with the presence of three comedians on the show - Raju Srivastav, Kiku Sharda and Sajid Khan. 

What works - 

The grand set and the couples (even though some names are new) make for interesting viewing. The selection of the songs, the performances and the overall acts were great viewing despite this being just the first episode. The preparation that had gone on in each act was noticeable. 

What doesn't work - 

The comedy by the hosts is a little over the top with sometimes they being termed as a couple, sometimes Gautam trying to find a bride, etc. The shirtless act by the anchors and Terence too made one cringe more so because Terence managed to go shirtless more than once and with his hair, moustache and tattoed six packs seemed to be trying to give competition to Ranveer Singh who has a similar look in the upcoming flick Ramleela.

Shilpa Shetty who has come back to her original slim avatar was quite liberal in giving the suuppper se oooper comment to most. 

The theme this year being romance was much too obvious in the launch episode and it will be seen more in the next episodes too but it should be kept a bit controlled and subtle instead of having it in your face! Sometimes the romantic overtures look forced and funny too! 

There was also lots of rona-dhona with almost every other baliye crying - like Kanica shedding tears because she and her husband have a long distance marriage and stay in different cities, while Amrapalli could not stop crying as she thanked God for giving her a husband like Yash and Kiku Sharda's wife Priyanka cried since her husband doesn't have much time for the family and so on!

The angle of bringing in the husband and wife together to spend some quality time by being a part of Nach Baliye 6 was very much obvious. 

Our take - 

Even though this was the opening of the show, it managed to keep upto the interest. The gags and comedy sequence were okay for the launch episodes but from here on the focus should be more on dance instead of just romance or fun between the hosts too!

With each new episode we are sure the jodis will gear up and with dedicated practice and rehearsals come up with exciting acts to keep the viewers hooked on to the show.

Rithvik Dhanjani's Big Mistake

It’s a known fact that celebs and specially actors are very conscious about their looks and styling. They spend hours decking up in order to look picture perfect for an award show or a party or a media event. And one thing that they don’t want to do is to repeat their attires. 

But at times, even actors are humans and tend to tread over the fashion faux pass line. Something similar happened with television’s latest chikna heartthrob, Rithvik Dhanjani (Pavitra Rishta and Nach Baliye).
It seems that after shooting for countless hours, the actor is left with no time at all to think about his attires. And why do we say so? Well he committed the social blunder of appearing in two different events wearing the same outfit (issshhhhhhh).

Check the pic above. Rithvik is seen wearing the white colour blazer paired with a blue check shirt at the Twelfth Indian Telly Awards. He is seen posing happily with his lady love, Asha Negi.
And Rithvik was spotted wearing the same outfit again at Zee TV’s and Chennai Express’ recent success bash (this time again with Asha).

Hmm Rithvik…why the blunder? It might be that he is in love with the dress or is it his lucky attire?
Whatever be it, next time keep your clothes in check. However, we would like one thing never to change in your picture, and that’s your lady love in your arms. Keep that frame intact forever.

Ripudaman Handa’s parents want to Reject Nach Baliye 6 becasue intimacy onscreens

Even before Nach Baliye 6 has gone on air, Ripudaman and Shivangi are facing problems on their homefront

The chef apparently joined the reality show ‘coz his baliye  Shivangi Verma wanted to be a part of it, but looks like the duo are already facing trouble about with their choreography and the high level of passion on display. 

A source says that both sets of parents are unhappy with the level of intimacy between the two. “The pair is only dating each other. They are not even engaged, so the parents, especially Shivangi’s are worried about how they will come across on national television,” said a friend of the duo.

When contacted, Ripudaman Handa agreed that the elders are anxious about them. “Both of us are very young, around 22 and 23 years old. It was a task convincing our parents, Shivangi’s in particular, to allow us to take part in Nach Baliye. They told it’s a big step for us — log kya kahenge, etc. Yes, we will be spending a lot of time together but I told them it’s not with the intention of getting physical or intimate. We love each other and I wanted to introduce my girlfriend to my fans,” smiles the winner of Masterchef India 3, who will be performing a mash-up in the opening episode.

Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali might just dance their way into your hearts very soon. The buzz is growing louder that the Little Master and his wifey might make a special appearance on Nach Baliye 6, just like Sania Mirza and her hubby Shoaib Malik did on Season 5 last year. When Shilpa Shetty Kundra made the announcement at the Nach Baliye 6 press conference that there would be a cricketer on the show, everyone was left wondering who that could be. Most people thought that Shilpa would rope in someone from her own team, the Rajasthan Royals, for the dance reality show.

A wide selection of names made it to the potentials list, from Jhonty Rhodes to Mahendra Singh Dhoni; even Kieron Pollard, the West Indies all-rounder who has shown off some cool moves on the field was being considered. Speculation buzzed through the BollywoodLife office, as it did in every media house and Sachin fan club. But with the makers of Nach Baliye promising hot romance and steamy chemistry between partners on national television, we figured it could be the Tendulkars who will agree to be on the show. Now that should hike the TRPs, hai na!

Whether it happens or not, we would be more than happy to watch Sachin‘s cool moves off the cricket field and on a stage. Wethinks it might just get the audience to exclaim ‘Aila!’

TV actor Gurmeet Choudhary, who won "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5", has put on his dancing shoes once again for "Nach Baliye 6", and says there is a responsibility on him to live up to his fans' expectations.

In the dance reality show, he will participate with his wife Debina Bonnerjee.

"I have been a winner of a dance reality show. I am not a trained dancer, but obviously a kind of responsibility comes on you as fans want to see you dancing to that level...and people should feel that he is a winner," Gurmeet said Thursday while rehearsing for "Nach Baliye 6".

Set to go on air Saturday on Star Plus, "Nach Baliye 6" will see a total of 11 jodis, including Raqesh Vashisth-Riddhi Dogra and Rithvik Dhanjani-Asha Negi, competing for the coveted title.

Actress Shilpa Shetty along with director Sajid Khan and choreographer Terence Lewis will judge "Nach Baliye 6".

It was a sparkly affair on the sets of Nach Baliye when the star judges of Star Plus’ celebrity dance reality show Nach Baliye came in a festive mood to celebrate the festival of light.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Terence Lewis and Sajid Khan stepped out from the set and were caught playing with sparkles on the eve of Dhanteras. 

The judges wished the contestants and the viewers a very Happy Diwali and lit up the Shagun ki phool jhadi. 

It was indeed a warm gesture. 

The show goes on air from 9 November at 9m and will air every Saturday and Sunday.
