RITHVIK-ASHA ARE CROWNED THE WINNERS ON NACH BALIYE 6!

Television's one of the most adorable couple Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi who are seen grooving on the Nach stage have been declared the winners of the Star Plus's couple dance reality show Nach Baliye season 6.

After giving stupendous performances in the show and after having reached till the finale of the show, the couple take away the Nach Baliye trophy along with the cash prize of Rs. 35 Lakhs and to add on more the couple has also been given the exotic tour package to Australia.

The other couples who Ripu Daman Handa - Shivangi Verma, Gurmeet Choudhary - Debina Bonnerjee Choudhary, Vinod Thakur - Raksha Thakur who were in the contingency to win the competition gave their heart warming wishes to the couple. While Gurmeet and Debina were in the top two, Rithvik and Asha were announced the winners by the hosts of the show Karan Wahi and Gautam Rode.

The couple Rithvik and Asha were presented the trophy by the honourable judges Shilpa Shetty, Terence Lewis and Sajid Khan.

Well it's a dream come true for the couple who were very much consistent with their performance right from the first episode and now finally they take way the trophy home!

The wait is over, the result is out and the winners of the most coveted dance show Nach Baliye 6 is non other than Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi. The winner takes home a Renault Duster Car, Rs 35 lakh, a holiday package to Gold Coast, Australia and a Gold Trophy.
The grand finale was a grand affair as expected, with some breathtaking performers from Shilpa Shetty, Sajid Khan and Terence Lewis along with all the couples.

The couples who made it to the final four were: Gurmeet Choudhary with Debina Bonnerjee, Master Chef Ripudaman Handa and Shivangi Verma, Ritwik Dhanjani and Asha Negi and last but not the least Vinod Pradhan and Raksha Pradhan.

Making their presence felt on Nach Baliye 6 were Farhan and Vidya who were there to promote their film Shaadi Ke Side Effects.

Farhan was dressed in a pair of khaki trousers, a grey t-shirt and a denim jacket while Vidya chose a Anand Kabra blue maxi coupled with Amrapali jewellery.

Shilpa Shetty was very upbeat post her aerial act and stated that she would love to return as judge of the show next season as well because of the immense love she has received.

”I would love to come back next season. I love it when I meet and also people love me and the show. I have got a lot of love because of the show,” said Shilpa with her sparkling smile.

The journey began three months ago with eleven celebrity couples; comedian Raju Shrivastav and Shikha Shrivastav, Television Couples Raquesh Vashisht and Riddhi Dogra, Kanica Maheswari Ghai and Ankur Ghai, Gurmeet Choudhary with Debina Bonnerjee, Master Chef Ripudaman Handa and Shivangi Verma, Yash Sinha and Amrapali Gupta, Kiku Sharda and Priyanka Sharda, Bruna Abdullah and Omar Farooquie, Sanjeev Seth and Lata Sabharwal, Ritwik Dhanjani and Asha Negi and Vinod Pradhan and Raksha Pradhan.

Kiku and Priyanka evicted from Nach Baliye; couples to perform with popular dance groups this week

 

Star Plus’ Nach Baliye season 6 (Frames Productions) has now got its four finalist.

Yes, after weeks of tough competition among the talented and popular celebrity couple, the show has arrived to its culmination point. And the latest couple to get eliminated from the dance reality contest is the funny man Kiku and his better half Priyanka Sharda.

The couple had managed to entertain the judges and viewers with their energy levels and entertaining acts and to bid the stage farewell, just a week prior to the finals must have been a hard time.

And this eviction has given the show its four final couples. Soon we will get to see the jodis Gurmeet- Debina, Rithvik- Asha, Ripu-Shivangi and Vinod-Raksha battle it out and win the coveted title this season.

Also to add more fun to the show, the contestants will be seen performing with popular dance group this week.

And the groups that debuted on the Nach stage with the couples are Rohan and group (India’s Got Talent) who joined Vinod and Raksha, Fictitious Dance Group (IGT) with Gurmeet and Debina, MJ 5 Dance Group (India's Dancing Superstar) performed with Kiku and Priyanka, Loyola Dream Team (IDS) partnered Rithvik and Asha and lastly D Maniax group (IDS) danced with Ripu and Shivangi.

The episode that was shot yesterday is said to be a total dhamakedar one and will keep the viewers hooked on the episode.

We tried reaching the contestants but they kept busy in rehearsals.

Kiku Sharda who currently rides the crest of fame as the cross-desser Palak on Comedy Nights With Kapil (Colors) talk to Tellychakkar.com.
Your Palak has become a sensation? But where you all this while?
It’s been a long time since I’ve been performing. I’ve been working in the serial FIR for many years. The money was coming in. The house was running. The wife and kids were happy. So I was quite happy with the status quo. I guess I’ve been complacent with my career. I have never hunted for work. People who know me would know I am not a go-getter. Unlike the pushy Palak that you see on screen I am not an extrovert. I take time to open up. For me to seek work is difficult.
Tell me about how Palak happened?
It all happened suddenly. I was called for Comedy Nights With Kapil because I had worked with Kapil before on Comedy Circus. We met regularly. Kapil and I were fond of one another from long before this show. Initially I was not part of Comedy Nights With Kapil. I came in after 12 episodes. Prior to that I used to watch the show and see the way it was gaining popularity. Sunil Grover’s Gutthi had just started when I joined the show. It wasn’t really that popular initially. The Channel wanted me to come on stage with Sunil. At that time it wasn’t even clear whether mine would be a male or a female character.
Then what?
We threshed it out. We thought of either giving Gutthi a sister or a friend. The idea was to make the two of us appear visually funny. Sunil being tall and thin, me being short and fat. The call for Palak’s gender was taken when we came to shoot. Sunil and I saw Gutthi and Palak’s cousins or friends hanging out together.
Was it difficult for you to go on stage alone when Sunil Grover left?
Yes, initially it was really difficult. I was lost without him on stage. I shared such a wonderful rapport with Sunil. We knew one another so well that I’d pick up the cue where he left off and he would do the same.
Did you ever expect Palak to become so popular?
I am equally fond of my other (male) character Lachcha Prasad. That isn’t easy to do either. But I think Palak’s attitude has connected effectively with the audience. She is not the least inhibited about being fat. She is not embarrassed by her looks. She brazenly comes into Kapil’s home and makes herself comfortable in his house with his celebrity guests. You need to have a lot of audacity to do this. According to her she writes mind-blowing sher for the celebrity guests. The writers write the sher for Palak. But sometimes I improvise.
How do your wife and children react to your drag act?
They are okay with it. My wife even jokes that as long as I don’t come home dressed like Palak she has no problems. I used to dress up as female characters in Comedy With Circus. My family sees it as part of my work. Besides Palak a lot of people also recognize me as Popo, the character I played on a show called Hatim on Star Plus. Palak may be my most popular character. But I’ve played other popular characters. But yes, Palak has made a huge difference to my career and life. The show just happened. Now I am still part of FIR though not regularly. But it remains close to my heart. Maybe I won’t be part of FIR in the coming weeks.
What about films?
I’ve done films. But nothing major. I’ve met directors like Ashutosh Gowariker. But I am not too sure I can make the time to do TV. How stupid it would seem if I approach filmmakers for work and then I say my TV work doesn’t allow me time to work for them. Besides, the films that I did have done nothing for my career. I’d rather not play the hero’s funny friend. I am done with all that.
Are you from a family of entertainers?
Nobody else in my family is part of the entertainment industry. I come from a Marwari business family. We’re three brothers. My two brothers work in New York and Mumbai. My father has his own business. My real name is Raghvendra. But I was known as Kiku from the time I was a child.
Is your wife a fan of Palak?
My wife is not so much of TV watcher. Actually we are not big fans of television comedy. We watch a lot of CID and Bigg Boss. We like watching reality shows. We also like watching all the new films in theatres. I love the grandeur of the big screen. I’d like to be part of it. But only if I get something substantial.
How do your children react to Palak?
They’re 5 and 8 years old. They’re growing up watching me do all kinds of characters on television wearing the weirdest of clothes and wigs. So Palak doesn’t shock them. But yes, it would be embarrassing if some friends teased them about their father dressing up like a girl. Luckily so far that’s not happened.
Do your kids expect you to be funny at home?
They do. And I am. I love hanging out with my kids. I play all kinds of games. We speak in a specially-invented language. I try to make the processing of knowledge innovative and exciting for them.
Do you one day hope to have your own show like Kapil?
Not really. I’ve the highest regard for what Kapil Sharma does. I don’t think I can pull it off. I can play characters. But I can’t hold a show together like Kapil can. Sunil Grover and I have spoken about this.
What is your take on Sunil Grover’s departure from Kapil’s show?
A lot has already been said and written about this. People said Sunil had to leave because Kapil was jealous. That’s not true at all. Sunil has the highest regard for Kapil. So do I. Kapil is a man of genius. He is involved in every department of the show. He’s a one-man army. At 5 am he is alert awake and raring to go. He enthuses all of us. He comes to the sets sings a song, plays the drums, makes us all feel charged.
Do you get mobbed?
Ha ha, not mobbed. But yes people do approach me for a photograph when I am at a restaurant with my family. On the road when I am driving heads keep popping out from other cars to say hello. And I love that. The day people stop approaching me it’d mean I done.
Are you recognized without your Palak get-up?
Luckily, yes. I’ve done a lot of work before Palak. They connect with me more through Palak. But they know my real face even if they don’t know my name.
How do you avoid charges of vulgarity?
A joke’s impact depends on the way it is narrated. My respect for Kapil also comes from the fact that he never resorts to crudity. He never takes that route. Sometimes when you don’t have a script the simplest way to make people laugh is to switch to vulgarity. Kapil was recently pulled up for making a comment on a pregnant woman giving birth while negotiating a pothole on a two-wheeler. That was more a comment on our roads than women. Now Kapil takes so many potshots at his stage-wife. Some people may get up one day and object to that. So then what do we laugh about? You can’t call a fat man fat man? Then what do you call him? Agar har chotisi cheez bura lagega toh comedy kaise hoga? We need to take ourselves far less seriously. Take a stand when you need to. But learn to take a joke.
What after Palak?
I’ve never been ambitious. Now when suddenly things are going so well for me I’d be lying if I narrated a screenplay about a long struggle for myself. I come from a family where money was not a problem. I had the freedom to do what I like. Even on Nach Baliye I’ve told my wife we’d be only dancing until we enjoy it. Likewise I’ll continue doing the work I enjoy until I enjoy it.

‘Teen Ka Tadka.’ with Mahek Chahal, Mouni Roy, Rashmi Desai, Sayantani Ghosh, Siddhesh Pai & Dharmesh Yelande

Nach ki jung nahin hai asaan…. And to prove this the makers of this show are going to raise the level of competition by introducing ‘Teen Ka Tadka.’ Though the concept is not new to us as we have seen it in ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ where a third celebrity has to dance with the participating couple. For the first time in Nach Baliye history, celebrities have been roped in to dance rather than the choreographers of the baliyes.
So, this weekend there will be three times more dance, entertainment, glamour and fun in NB6. Now, celebs who will be dancing with Nach Baliye jodis are -
***y and hot Mahek Chahal, last seen in Comedy Circus will be pairing up with Riddhi and Raqesh. Mahek has already shot the episode and the couple even posted a picture of them on social media. There is a bad news for Riddhi and Raqesh’s fans, the couple has decided to quit the show after this special episode as Raqesh has a serious injury.

Next celebrity to shake a leg is an ace dancer Mouni Roy. As she is a very good friend of Debina (Bengali connection you see!), Mouni will be dancing with her and Gurmeet. Indeed, this teen ka tadka will be something to watch out for! Gurmeet and Debina are considered to be the finalists of NB6, it will be interesting to see how they gel their chemistry with the third partner.



Rithvik and Asha too have a good dancer as a third partner, its none other than the very famous ‘Tapasya’ aka Rashmi Desai. Rashmi was the runner up in Jhalak last year so she knows what exactly will impress the judges of a dance show. Hmm…looks like this triple some is also going to be awesome!!
Ripudaman Handa and his baliye Shivangi will grove with a sultry beauty, Bengali girl Sayantani Ghosh. These three will surely set the stage on fire by their performance. Sayantani is also an amazing dancer and we have seen her doing different types of dance forms on TV. Her expressions and body language will definitely get some brownie points for her partners.

Another brilliant dancer Siddhesh Pai will be partnering with cute couple Kiku and Priyanka. Siddhesh is known for his unique style of dancing and it will be really interesting to see how he matches up with the high energy levels of Kiku!

Dharmesh Yelande will form a tikdi with Vinod and Raksha who gave a stunning performance last week and are back in the game. Dharmesh is known for his versatile dancing and will be really an asset for his team.

Nach Baliye 6 has been on an injury track from the time it has taken off. Most of the contestants are getting injured, week after week.

This week the celebrity couple that is bidding good bye to the Nach Baliye 6 stage is going to be Kanika Maheshwari and her builder husband Ankur Ghai. The reason being Kanika has badly injured her foot a week ago.

Ankur was Sajid Khan’s favourite and always the butt of his jokes, which he took very sportingly. However Kanika, was having a tough time managing between the schedules of Nach Baliye 6 and Diya Aur Baati Hum.

“Reality shows are real and we have to prepare our act in five days. It is very tough; I shoot Diya Aur Baati Hum also. So for me to give twelve hours to that, then the performance and also give time to my husband is making things really tough,” Kanika had stated a couple of weeks ago.

The other celebrities who have hurt themselves during this show are Gurmeet Choudhary’s wife Debina Bonnerjee who is still trying to hold on and Raju Srivastava’s wife Shikha Srivastava. However Raju and Shikha were evicted a couple of weeks ago due to lack of votes in their kitty.

Kanika finds Vinod Thakur and Raksha most inspiring of them all. She stated, “For me, Vinod and Raksha are very inspiring. That man is handicapped and to see him perform gives me inspiration that if he can then I can do a lot more.”

On the other hand, Ankur found Gurmeet Choudhary-Debina Bonnerjee, Rakesh Bapat-Riddhi Dogra and Raju Srivastava-Shikha Srivastava very inspiring.

At the end of it all, Kanika and Ankur were one couple we would have loved to on the stage of Nach Baliye 6 more, not because of their great dancing but because they were great entertainers.

Shocker: Kanica Maheshwari-Ankur Ghai Quit The Show

Nach Baliye 6 happy go lucky jodi Kanica Maheshwari and husband Ankur Ghai quit the show. The reason was quite genuine as it was seen that Kanica was badly injured and landed up getting her leg fractured. The pair finally decided to quit the show as it was not possible for them to continue with Kanica's fractured leg. Kanica cleared the rumours of she getting eliminated from the show and said, "We are not eliminated from the show, but had to quit due to my health reasons. I'm feeling very bad, but I don't know what was destined." Kanica apparently had injured her leg, but took it lightly and gave two performances. It was later realised that the minor injury now had got converted into a ligament tear as well as a fracture. Kanica, who was always supported by her husband, says that it was Ankur's decision to quit the show as he really cares for her. Kanica Maheshwari is recently seen in the very famous show of Star Plus Diya Aur Baati Hum and is currently associated with Nach Baliye 6. Ankur and Kanica will be remembered on the show for the love they showed to the audiences and even for Ankur's funny gags over flirting with ex-contestant Bruna Abdullah.

Nach Baliye 6: Has Salman Khan replaced Sajid Khan as the judge?

Sallu will be on the dance reality show promote Jai Ho but why did Sajid decide to not appear for this particular episode?

Salman Khan will be seen sitting on Sajid Khan’s chair in an upcoming episode of couple dance reality show Nach Baliye 6. No, he has not replaced Sajid as the judge permanently as the change is only for one episode. But why has the Housefull director chosen to stay away from Salman, you ask? Is it because Sajid happens to brother of Farah Khan, who is very close to Dabangg Khan’s arch rival Shahrukh Khan? Well, the reason is best known to Sajid.

Anyway, Sallu bhai would be on the dance reality show to promote his upcoming film Jai Ho. The episode will be dedicated to Salman as the couples will be seen dancing to his hit songs. Also, we are pretty sure that Salman’s wicked statements won’t go amiss.

Again Enter Third Time - Bruna Abdullah and Omar Farooque

It’s all happening at Nach Baliye 6, where Bruna Abdullah and Omar Farooque who had just entered the competition once again have been eliminated.

 

Bruna and her partner Omar got another chance to prove their talent as they were selected as the wild card entry on the dance reality show, but then as luck could have it, the very next week they have been shown the door.

Bruna Abdullah and  Omar Farooque were one of the toughest contestants on the show till they did the underwater act.  Even though Shilpa Shetty and Terence Lewis loved their act, Sajid Khan was not at all satisfied and so were the audiences because the very next week the couple was eliminated and had to make an exit but then there was hope that they may come back on the wild card episode.

As predicted, Bruna and Omar gave a flawless performance and were taken back in to the show as wild card entry but then it seems like that luck is not in their favour anymore because in the coming weeks elimination, they will have to leave the stage and this time never to return back.

The competition has indeed become tougher and everyone is dancing to win. Bruna and Omar are bad dancers, but looks like the other contestants are either better than them or have a larger fan following than Bruna and Omar.

Also there is a buzz that Gurmeet Choudhary and his partner Debina Bonnerjee and Kanika Maheshwari and her builder husband from Delhi Ankur Ghai may have to quit the show because both Debina and Kanika have serious injuries.  Debina apparently has hurt her ribs and Kanika her foot.
